Therapeutic Exercise

Therapeutic exercises focuses on restoring/maintaining strength, endurance, flexiblity, stability, balance, and improve the your limitations. The goal of therapeutic exercises is to return you to pain free function whether this is returning to walking, work, leisure activities or even sport activities!

Modalities/Manual Techniques

At Wieging Physical Medicine we utilize a wide range of modalities/manual techniques based on your specific diagnosis/evaluation to help you feel better quicker.  Some of these techniques include (but are not limited to): kinesiology tape, intersegemental traction table, electrical stimulation, thermo/cryotherapy, ultasound, laser therapy, percussion therapy, and massage techniques.

Therapeutic Activity

Therapeutic Activities are tasks that are functional and dynamic.   They are daily activities and/or simple movements that imitate activities of your daily life and help to improve strength and range of motion.  These activities help to simulate/improve all the things that you do throughout your day!

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

IASTM is used to break down fascial restrictions, scar tissue, and/or soft tissue dysfunction. The design of the instrument provides the PT/PTA with the ability to locate restrictions and allows them to treat the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure and improve tissue movement.

Neuromuscular Re-Education

Neuromuscular re-education techniques give you the opportunity to retrain their bodies to follow normal, controlled movement patterns. The nervous system is involved in every single movement our body performs, which is why it is important that physical therapy techniques include neuro-muscular re-education for better results in each patient plan of care.
